My name is Janina. I am a Brussels-based yoga practitioner and teacher. After some ten years of more or less regular practice, I undertook the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course (200 hours) in the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in 2013, which I followed by Accessible Yoga teacher training with an amazing instructor Jivana Heyman in 2014. To complement my knowledge and further improve my clients’ experience, I have joined the Tradition Massage school to learn about th ancient Indian massage therapies.
Unlike with yoga or massage, cooking I have learnt independently. The combination of epicurean, vegetarian and environmentalist is not an easy one if you want to eat well in Brussels. This prompted my cooking passion. In my kitchen, I experiment with local, seasonal and, whenever possible, organic ingredients and happily test the creations on my extended friends and family (they don’t seem to mind).
When I don’t practice yoga, massage or cook, I work for an NGO that promotes the rights of disabled people. Believing in equality for people with disabilities is what inspired my Accessible Wellbeing work in the first place.
