My name is Janina. I am a yoga practitioner and teacher based on Brussels (Belgum). After some ten years of more or less regular practice, I undertook the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course (200 hours) in the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in 2013, which I followed in 2014 by the Accessible Yoga teacher training with the amazing Jivana Heyman, founder of Accessible Yoga, the international non-profit organisation dedicated to sharing yoga with the communities that have traditionally been excluded or underserved. These include people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, seniors or people with larger bodies.
When I don’t practice yoga, I work as a freelance consultant in disability rights in Europe and Central Asia.Believing in equality for people with disabilities is what inspired my involvement in the Accessible Yoga movement in the first place.
